White Dress | OOTD

by - August 28, 2019

White is my favourite colour to wear in the summer, and sadly this year I haven't really worn much white. But I finally got the chance to wear it and it was in a dress I almost gave away.
I got this dress from an acquaintance that bought the dress but never wore it (I don't know how old this dress is but I'm guessing it's a couple years old) and I accepted it because I didn't want to be rude and I could honestly see something good in it. At the time, this dress didn't look like what it looks now, it was longer and unflattering. I almost gave up and gave it away but after months of sitting in my closet waiting for me to have the courage to do something with it, this past week I finally did it and cut the bottom part, making it shorter and much more flattering for my figure. I'm not the tallest so at the length that it was on it made me look short and frumpy. After cutting it, I did wonder if it wasn't too short but wearing some nude shorts underneath made me feel very comfortable and after all, no, it wasn't too short.
I thought this was a great opportunity to wear my new snakeskin slide sandals that are super comfortable and so cute, they go with so many things! I think they pair perfectly with this white dress and give it some edginess to an otherwise beachy dress.
