3 Easy and Colourful Eye Looks With Morphe Live In Color Eyeshadow Palette

by - July 03, 2019

I've been having so much fun with my Live In Color palette I had to document some of the looks I made and show you. It can be hard to think of looks with such a colourful palette that is so out of some people's comfort zone. I myself had to think hard for a couple of these looks and even when I started doing them, I ended up going a different direction from the one I was planning on going. But I got some pretty fun and easy looks nonetheless that are super easy to recreate, don't forget I'm not a makeup artist, I'm just a makeup lover who likes to have fun.

For the first look, I had the set of earrings you can kinda see in the first picture in mind. AND, it was S. João so I had to go for a fun look with lots of colour to resemble the fireworks, the decorations and the lanterns in the sky. I went for a very easy 3-shade look, with "Life" in my crease and outer corner, "Sunlight" all over the lid and I also extended it to my inner corner, and then "Rise Up" on my bottom lash line. To highlight my inner corner, I put some "Healing" on top of the yellow but you can totally skip that if you want and just keep the pop of colour. To make the yellow super pigmented I would definitely clean up the lid with concealer after going in with the red. I didn't do that and the yellow wasn't as pigmented as I would've liked although it does look very pigmented in the pictures, in person it wasn't that strong.

This look kind of looks like it's just one shade but I promise there's actually some depth to it. In person you could definitely tell the difference between shades a lot more but it still looks pretty. On my crease and outer corner, I went with "SF" which does have some gold specks on it that sadly were swept away while blending, that's one of my complaints with this palette. On the lid, I went for a mix of "Sexuality" and "#LoveWins". The way I did it was, a layer of "#LoveWins", a layer of "Sexuality", another layer of the first shade again and then another of the second one and it turned out pretty good, it wasn't completely purple, it wasn't completely pink, it was a good balance. Then, on the bottom lash line I just used "Sexuality" to really get a pop of pink and on the inner corners to highlight it, I used "1978" and it turned out way cooler than I thought it would. I was scared it would be too pigmented and I didn't want a colourful inner corner two days in a row but it turned out cool and pigmented enough to see it's a purple shimmer but not too strong to seem like a regular eyeshadow instead of a highlight, you know what I mean?

This one doesn't look as good in the pictures as it did in person but at least you get the idea. Excuse any white dots on my eyebrows or hair but it's just dry shampoo, I did brush it out afterward once I noticed all the white dust. For this look, I used "Art" on the crease and "Parade" all over the lid and on the bottom lashline. A super easy look that didn't take long to do and turned out really cool. On the inner corners, I used "Liberation" but on the photos, it looks gold, for some reason. It is a holographic shade so maybe it was just reflecting something but trust me, it wasn't this gold in person.

For the rest of my face, I used the Flormar Mattifying Primer, The Catrice Liquid Camouflage concealer, the Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation, the Morphe Bake & Set Setting Powder for baking underneath my eyes, the Catrice All Matt Plus Pressed Powder all over the face, the Catrice Prime and Fine Contouring Palette to contour, the Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzing Powder to bronze my skin, the Essence Silky Touch Blush in the shade Adorable or the Catrice Blush Artist Shading Palette in 030 for blush, the Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter in the shade Stole The Show for highlight, the NYX Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade in the shade Espresso for my eyebrows, the Basic Cosmetics Liquid Liner in black, the Catrice All Round Mascara for the lashes, and finally, the NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in the shade Lace Detail or the Colourpop Lux Lipstick in the shade Lay Over for my lips.

I hope you're having a great day,
Marta Ribeiro xx
