My Fictional Fashion Icons

15:41:00

It's no lie that I look up to a lot of people when it comes to my style. Some of those people are artists, bloggers, generally real people. BUT, there are some that are fictional and I'm sure I'm not the only one looking up to fictional characters for their style.

Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl
This was an obvious one, wasn't it? Blair is a fashion icon for a bunch of people, me included. Not only do I relate to her style, but I also love how she's not scared to take risks and put two pieces together than no one would've even thought of.

Sources: FOX and Hulu

Mindy Lahiri from The Mindy Project
I had already mentioned Mindy in a previous post so it was only fair that I included her again. Much like Blair, she mixes colours and patterns that we wouldn't normally see. Her style is a bit more classy and girly it's still very fun and "out there".

Brooke Von Weber from Odd Mom Out
Brooke honestly looks like a blogger. I can see her style being similar to so many bloggers I follow. I like how classy her style is but still uses colour and fun patterns and if you watch the show you'll see lots of great outfits but it was kinda hard to find them online so I had to settle for these three even though they're not the best but they're pretty too and illustrate her style really well.

Jane Villanueva from Jane The Virgin
For a while I gotta say I didn't pay much attention to her style, I liked Petra's more but I kind of prefer Jane's now because we have the same body type so I always look up to the colours and shapes she wears because I know they'd be flattering on me too.

Tahani Al-Jamil from The Good Place
A much more recent find. I love Tahani's style even though I know it probably wouldn't look good on me because she's way taller than me. I try to get inspired by her in a different way, with shapes and patterns instead of lengths and general model of the piece.

I hope you're having a great day,
Marta Ribeiro xx

  16. OMG we definitely have similar style as I love the style of these women as well. I actually don't know anyone who watches Odd Mom Out so it was nice to see you mention the show. Love Brooke's style, it's very classy like you mentioned.

I also love the style of Jane and Petra in Jane The Virgin. The;r styles are very different but still both nice. And yes to Blair, loved how preppy her style was on Gossip Girl. A lot of people say they prefer Serena but Blair was always it for me. This was a fun post. xx

    1. Yeah, I knew mentioning Odd Mom Out was gonna be a shot in the dark but I'm happy to see somebody else knows about it! And I think people liked Serena's style more because it's more wearable, you gotta have some real confidence to pull out Blair's style haha Thanks for stopping by!
