Drugstore Vegan Cruelty-free Beauty Products I've Been Loving

19:24:00

When I switched to cruelty-free beauty I thought of going full vegan one day. I wasn't ready to do it right away because I wasn't even that well informed yet but slowly I started worrying more and more about the ingredients in the beauty items I was using. Currently, some of the products I'm using daily are vegan and I want to share them with you just in case you need some reviews and opinions on some vegan beauty items. If there are any others I don't use but that you love, leave them in the comments below and I'll try them out!

Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation
I've already reviewed this foundation (check it out here) but I'm gonna mention it again just in case you didn't know it was vegan. I have to be honest, I didn't even know it was vegan before I bought it but one day I was doing some research for another post and ended up seeing that this product was vegan and it only made me love it more. It's currently the foundation I use every day and I love everything about it. It's great for the price and I recommend it for every skin type except dry skin, it might be a little too drying.

Catrice Prime And Fine Professional Contouring Palette
On the website, it says this product isn't available anymore but it's still being sold in my local drugstore so maybe you can still find it where you live. That's the reason why I thought it'd be nice to mention it here. I meant to write a review of this product but didn't actually do it so here's a little review now. I have the darkest shade so bear that in mind because the others might not be the same. Also, major alert on that, I'm super pale and I use the darkest shade so Catrice, maybe it's time to be more inclusive of darker skin tones? The highlighter isn't my favourite, it's way too natural for me, it looks more metallic than shimmery and for the makeup looks I usually use, it doesn't really pop. The bronzer though, that's the best part of it. It's the perfect shade for me, it's not too warm nor too cool and it's pigmented enough that I don't need much product. One thing I will say is that after a few uses it forms a layer on top that makes it harder to get product, I don't know if it's the product that does that itself or if it's my brush that makes that but I can scratch it out with the other end of my brush and it goes back to being normal.

NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade
I had never really worried too much about my brows, they have always been pretty thick and bushy but when I started wearing heavier makeup looks, my eyebrows looked kinda dull so I started trying out different things and I gotta tell you, nothing I tried was as good as this one. And the fact that it's vegan only makes it better. When I dyed my hair I was kinda worried it wouldn't match but it kinda does as the shade I got is a bit warm so it matches the ginger in my hair. It lasts all day and I've had it for, like, a year and it's still going strong. Highly recommend it.

Catrice Highlighting Eyeshadows
I was never much of a fan of single shadows, I always loved palettes a lot more. It wasn't until I was browsing the store and came upon a couple of single shadows I loved, and one of them was one of these Highlighting Shadows. They're extremely shinny and shimmery and I love to use it wet to get a full on metallic effect. I also use it on the inner corners of my eyes sometimes. It's a really great shadow for a cheap price.

Essence Shine Shine Shine Lip Gloss
I was never a fan of lip glosses either but when I started watching Bella Fiori's YouTube videos I saw how great gloss looked on her and thought I should try it out myself. Needless to say, I absolutely loved them. They're not too sticky, they're glossy and they last a long time on the lips, besides being super cheap as well.

I hope you're having a great day,
Marta Ribeiro xx
