My Beauty Tools Staples

by - February 19, 2018

The world has evolved a lot over the years and thankfully we can now achieve better results when wearing makeup. I don't like to have too much work with my makeup sometimes, I want an effortless look that looks like I spent hours doing. If you want the same then consider investing in some of the tools listed below.

Facial cleanser
The first step is to have a good base and for that, you need to have a good skincare routine. In my opinion, the most important skincare step is cleansing. Sometimes I might get lazy and not use some of the products in my routine but I will always cleanse. Having clean skin is the best base for a good makeup look. And not only is the product itself important but also the way we use it. I used to just use my fingers but since I got a battery powered cleanser, it changed everything. It makes a massive difference, especially in textured or acne-prone skins. (Above you can see Foreo's and Clarisonic's cleansers, click on the images to shop)

Beauty Blender
This isn't news for anyone, is it? Ditch the brushes, the knock-off versions of a Beauty Blender and get the real deal. I don't know how easy it is to get a good priced BB in other countries but I can assure you, if you keep your eyes peeled, you'll find a good deal. Here in Portugal, a BB is cheaper than in some other countries and I even got mine on a sale so imagine how cheap mine was. I don't regret getting it at all and I'm very happy with the results it gives. (Click on the image above to shop)

Kabuki Brush
Many people think of a kabuki brush as a simple all over powder brush but a big kabuki serves more than one purpose, you just have to get creative. For the face, you can use it to apply setting powder or to blend cheek products or even to apply bronzer by putting a bobby pin at the base and making it look like a bushy fan brush. For the body, it can be used to bronze or illuminate neck, bust, arms, legs. You can also use it to dust off white particles of dry shampoo. A kabuki brush has an infinite amount of uses. Brush cleaner pad
A very futile tool but such a needed one for such a small price. Cleaning my brushes used to be like hell until I got a brush cleaning pad. It makes life so much easier and cleaning your brushes so much quicker. It's definitely worth it. And I use it for my BB as well, you need to be gentle though or you'll rip it. I hope you're having a great day,
