Asymetrical Reflective Skirt | OOTD

by - February 01, 2018

This outfit was not planned out, at all. The weather has been getting warmer and warmer over here and that day I really wanted to wear a skirt or dress or shorts. I realised I hadn't photographed this skirt yet so I decided to wear it. The hard part was picking a top. I knew I wanted something with colour so I was torn between baby pink, mustard and this burgundy. I decided to go for the burgundy because it was the only one whose fit looked nice with this skirt. I have to say, this skirt isn't the easiest to wear. And by that, I mean that it's hard to make it look good. The back is kind of see-through but not enough to see what's underneath but the fabric is so thin that you can tell the marks from my underwear and from the sweater. It's a nightmare to get everything to sit properly. And when it comes to photographing it, it's a huge mistake. In most pictures I took there's a glare coming from the skirt. It almost looks like one of those neon reflective jackets you have to wear when your car breaks down in the middle of the road. The skirt is not photogenic at all and I wasn't even using the flash. I don't really know how to make it work and I guess I'll have to try it out in the spring or summer with lighter tops and see how that goes, but when it comes to pictures, you'll never see this skirt again. I thought it'd be fun to include one of those glared pictures so here you go:

It even made the sidewalk have a glare! And keep in mind this picture has been edited to the max, there was just no way I could make it better than this. And now for the real pictures.

OUTFIT \\ Sweater - Easywear (Old but I found a similar here) \\ Skirt - Dresslily \\ Tights - Primark (They don't have an online shop but I found similar ones here and here) \\ Shoes - Manuel Alves (Old but I found two pairs similar here and here) \\ Coat - Zara (Old but here's a similar one with black fur and silver details instead of gold)

I hope you're having a great day,
